Guffey’s of Atlanta, Inc. was founded by Don Guffey in 1965, with a commitment to providing world-class clothing to the residents of the greater Atlanta area.

In 1976, Charlie Ackerman, the developer of Tower Place, was determined to have a men’s clothing store in the new Tower Place.  After Charlie’s friendly persuasion, Don opened the second Guffey’s store in the Tower Place courtyard. Back in 1976, Buckhead was a distant suburb from the Atlanta city center.

In 1993, Guffey’s moved from the “Tower Place Courtyard” (current location of Chama Gaucha) into the lobby of Tower place.

Don Guffey’s nephew, Neil,  joined the staff in 1989, and became partner in 1998. 2012 saw the addition of Buckhead Bridal by Guffey’s, featuring the Anne Barge collection of wedding gowns. In 2012, the Men’s Formalwear Studio was added, providing tuxedo rental services for wedding and special occasions.

Today, Guffey’s continues it’s 50 year tradition of combining the finest in technology with the highest levels of quality and service. It’s all about passion for the customer and providing the finest garments available to meet the needs and taste of each individual lifestyle and personality.
